I have photographed a LOT of weddings, but the style of this vintage countryside inspired wedding was unlike anything I’ve seen yet. Katee and Jason got married on the property of Creek View Manor in Slippery Rock, PA and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for their very vintage day.
Much of their decor was thrifted or found while antiquing by Katee herself and everything felt so personal and intentional. I was obsessed with the mismatched china place settings and propagated plant cuttings as guest favors and thought it was not only unique, but a practical, sustainable choice. Jewel tones aren’t super common as a wedding color palette, but the rich reds, pinks, and purples added such a fun pop against the lush greenery of the property at Creek View Manor.
Their ceremony was held outside in front of the most charming outdoor stone fireplace. I thought it was really special that Katee and Jason decided to forgo a traditional bridal party, instead opting for their two daughters to participate and stand by their sides. They exchanged their own personal, handwritten vows and shed a few happy tears while doing so.
At the reception, Ligo Farms Catering provided a delicious build-your-own-burger bar for dinner and to say it was a hit with all of the guests is an understatement. Untraditional wedding menus can really bring extra excitement to a party that your guests surely won’t forget. Katee and Jason ended their night dancing to Landline Bluegrass–a local live band–and hanging out around an impressive bonfire with their family and closest loved ones. This is definitely a wedding I definitely won’t be forgetting. I hope I get to photograph another Creek View Manor wedding in Slippery Rock soon!
