Capturing the love between couples is always a joyous occasion, especially when it comes to engagement photos. I feel so lucky that being a Pittsburgh wedding and engagement photographer is my full-time job and I can’t think of a better way to spend my time working than being outside with such awesome people on warm summer nights like this one. It really doesn’t feel like work much at all. On this particular early September night, I had the pleasure of photographing Haley and Jackson amidst the picturesque scenery of Indian Hill at Boyce Park in Plum Borough. The rolling grassy fields fit their laid-back and relaxed personalities and provided the perfect backdrop for their engagement session moments.

As luck would have it, we were blessed with prime golden hour light, casting a golden glow over the entire landscape. The warmth of setting sun added a romantic touch to every frame, enhancing the natural beauty of Haley and Jackson’s love.

One of the most memorable moments of the photo session was when Haley and Jackson decided to celebrate their engagement with a champagne pop. You can never go wrong bringing a bottle of champagne to a photo session–it makes it all the more fun! The fizzy bubbles danced in the air and were met with genuine laughter and ear-to-ear smiles. These photos evoke moments of pure enjoyment, spontaneity, and excitement for this special time in their relationship.

But don’t worry, the magic didn’t stop there. Haley and Jackson’s beloved black lab joined in on the fun, adding an extra dose of charm to the photoshoot. Their furry friend brought an undeniable sense of warmth and companionship, reflecting the bond shared not only between the couple but with their beloved pet as well. Pets are family and I always encourage my couples to include them if they’d like!

Through each click of the camera, I witnessed Haley and Jackson’s authentic affection and laughter, creating timeless memories that they will cherish for years to come. From stolen glances to cozy embraces, every photograph told a story of love, friendship, and a promise of forever.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of such a perfect evening engagement session at Boyce Park. Haley and Jackson’s photo session was more than just capturing moments; it was about freezing time so that someday they can look back on this day and remember how they felt at the beginning of a beautiful journey together.
