Buckle up, because Rose and Will’s whimsical Pittsburgh wedding at The Pump House is one you cannot forget. Every part of this day was so fun and unique from the ceremony structure, to the historical venue, to the thrifted and DIY decor. Magical is the only word I have to describe it!
Rose and Will got married on one of the absolute hottest days of the year in June and although that came with its challenges, there was no shortage of an incredible wedding celebration there. The couple had met when they were just kids and they had promised one another that they would remain best friends forever. Now let me just say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as they renewed this promise in front of all of their closest family and friends and became husband and wife. Their ceremony was packed with personal touches including a section where their guests were invited to stand and speak their loving thoughts and well wishes to the couple.
Their reception decor was a combination of thrifted, rented, and DIY touches, all of which came together for one extraordinary curated vision that was both elegant and whimsical. The bride even decorated her wedding cake herself and the intricate, pink details had me in absolute awe. We opted to take all of their portraits in the evening during golden hour for some relief from the blazing sun and, of course, for that yummy golden light. Rose and Will radiated the most fun-loving energy all day and it’s people like them that make my job as a Pittsburgh wedding photographer so meaningful and delightful. I hope to photograph another Pump House wedding soon!
